LE SSERAFIM Expands 'SPAGHETTI' Universe with Special Collaboration with Chef Edward Lee
K-pop sensation LE SSERAFIM is captivating fans with diverse content surrounding their first single album, ‘SPAGHETTI’.
Today, October 16th, at 8 PM, the group—comprising Kim Chae-won, Sakura, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae—will release a special collaboration video with renowned chef Edward Lee on their official YouTube channel. Chef Edward Lee, a runner-up on Netflix's culinary competition 'The Handsome Cooks' and recently appointed as the head chef for the '2025 APEC Leaders Meeting' banquet, joins LE SSERAFIM as part of their ongoing 'SPAGHETTI' promotions.
The collaboration, teased on Instagram Live last month, features Chef Lee donning a promotional t-shirt for LE SSERAFIM's new release. He also participated in the point choreography challenge for the title track ‘EAT IT UP’, generating significant buzz.
Through their agency SOURCE MUSIC, Chef Lee shared, "I usually enjoy listening to LE SSERAFIM's 'Perfect Night,' so I'm delighted to meet them in person. The warm welcome made the filming enjoyable." LE SSERAFIM's 2023 English track ‘Perfect Night’ achieved notable success, peaking at number 19 on Billboard's 'Bubbling Under Hot 100' and number 8 on 'Global Excl. U.S.'
Prior to the album's release, LE SSERAFIM initiated a unique pre-promotion campaign centered around the concept of 'shopping for ingredients in a market and serving the prepared food to people.' The album’s design, stage sets, and all elements were meticulously linked to the album's name, ‘SPAGHETTI,’ offering a feast for the eyes. They also engaged in a spaghetti-making competition with chef Kwon Sung-jun, winner of 'The Handsome Cooks,' on Mnet and M2 YouTube's comeback show ‘SPAGHETTI, Twirling the Earth’.
LE SSERAFIM is set to hold encore concerts, ‘2025 LE SSERAFIM TOUR ‘EASY CRAZY HOT’ ENCORE IN TOKYO DOME,’ at the Tokyo Dome on October 18th and 19th. They are also scheduled to attend the 'AAA 2025' on December 6th and the '2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon' on December 25th.
Korean netizens reacted enthusiastically, commenting things like, "Wow, it's amazing they're collaborating with a chef," "LE SSERAFIM's universe is so solid," "The EAT IT UP dance challenge with him is so funny lol," and "They're really bringing the SPAGHETTI album concept to life!"
