‘Us, Again’ Starring Choi Woo-shik & Jung So-min Concludes with Highest Ratings and a Perfect Happy Ending
The SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘Us, Again’ has officially wrapped up its run with a heartwarming wedding for its lead couple, Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min.
The final episode, aired on the 15th, saw Kim Woo-ju (Choi Woo-shik) and Yoo Meri (Jung So-min) overcome numerous obstacles to solidify their profound love for each other, culminating in their marriage.
The finale achieved its highest viewership ratings to date, hitting 10.3% nationwide (based on Nielsen Korea), securing the number one spot in its time slot and for Saturday mini-series overall. The 2049 target demographic rating also peaked at 2.66%, making it the top-rated program on Saturday and marking a perfect finale for the series.
A moment of tension arose when Woo-ju's grandmother, Go Pil-ryeon (Jung Ae-ri), discovered the couple's staged marriage and Meri's past divorce. Meri mistakenly believed the grandmother opposed their union, but Woo-ju was merely awaiting her approval. The grandmother, gifting a jade ring as a sign of acceptance, allowed Woo-ju to propose to Meri, asking, “Yoo Meri, will you marry me?” Meri joyfully accepted with a simple “Okay,” leading to their wedding.
The small wedding ceremony, celebrated by family and friends, underscored the fateful nature of their bond. Meri’s narration, “What I truly desired was just one person who would love me, no matter what kind of person I was,” and Woo-ju’s reflection, “When sadness and loneliness washed over me like a tidal wave, I sometimes felt lost, but perhaps all those times were merely the path leading to you,” left viewers with a lasting sense of romantic destiny.
Following ‘Us, Again,’ the drama ‘Taxi Driver 3’ is set to premiere.
Netizens praised the lead actors, commenting, "Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min's acting was so good," and expressed relief, "Glad it had a happy ending." Many also noted, "The OST was so good, I'll keep thinking about it."
