Rock Band ONEWE Claims First 'Immortal Songs' Victory with Playful Performance, Delighting Dr. Oh Eun Young
Talented rock band ONEWE has clinched their first-ever championship trophy on the popular KBS2 show 'Immortal Songs'.
On the episode aired this past 15th, featuring a special guest appearance by renowned psychiatrist Dr. Oh Eun Young, ONEWE (comprised of Yonghoon, Kanghyun, Harin, Dongmyeong, and Cya) delivered a performance that solidified their reputation as a band that delivers quality music and stage presence.
For their rendition of Sanullim's 'Rascal', ONEWE appeared on stage dressed in matching outfits with a children's band. Their pure and passionate performance, reminiscent of returning to childhood, heightened the energy in the studio to its peak. Notably, the lyrics "Let's play together" prompted the audience to stand up and dance, with even Dr. Oh Eun Young joining in, beautifully closing the second segment of the show.
Following their transformation into five energetic 'golden children' on stage, Seo Moon Tak commented, "Watching their raw passion, even as they moved through the audience, I felt it was the stage that best fit the theme of today." Kim Tae Yeon added, "It felt like the perfect ending performance."
Dr. Oh Eun Young was equally impressed, stating, "I felt like I became six years old again. The children's laughter and movements were wonderful. We need to hear more children's laughter like in ONEWE's performance. It was truly, truly great," adding, "Thank you for taking me to a world of childhood."
Amidst enthusiastic audience support, ONEWE secured a total of 420 points, marking their first victory on 'Immortal Songs'. The band shared their joy with the five children who performed with them, creating a heartwarming scene for viewers.
Korean netizens reacted with excitement, commenting, 'ONEWE finally got 1st place! They are true stage masters,' 'Today's performance was so exciting and great! As expected from ONEWE,' and 'A magical performance that even made Dr. Oh Eun Young smile, it was the best.'
