Singer Jay Park has revealed that his recent efforts using crutches were due to a more severe injury than initially known, involving a fractured bone and torn ligament in his leg.

According to a report by Hankook Ilbo on the 16th, Jay Park had sustained a leg fracture and ligament tear. The singer had previously drawn attention in the past month by sharing updates on social media with his left leg in a cast and using crutches. He posted selfies in this condition, captioned with "It's gonna be ok."

Jay Park continued to appear at various events and perform on stage while using the cast and crutches. He also actively promoted the group LNGSHOT (Longshot), which he is producing, despite his injury.

Earlier this month, he posted a cryptic message saying, "It's good that I can walk," which raised concerns as the exact condition and cause of his leg injury were not officially disclosed.

However, Jay Park recently shared an update showing his recovery, performing a dance without crutches. He also took the stage without crutches at the 'Spotify House Seoul' event on the 14th, delivering a powerful performance.

In an interview with Hankook Ilbo, Jay Park detailed his condition: "It's been about a month and a half since the injury. I had a slight fracture from doing a backflip, and about 80% of my ligament was torn." He added, "I've recovered about 60-70% now. I'm not using crutches anymore and am diligently working on rehabilitation."

Meanwhile, Jay Park established MORE VISION in 2022 and has been signing various artists. In September, he previewed the debut of the boy group LNGSHOT (Longshot) for January of next year at a university festival, garnering attention for their first stage. He further fueled anticipation for their debut by performing a joint stage with LNGSHOT at the 'Spotify House Seoul' event.

Fans expressed relief and support upon hearing the news. Comments included, "I didn't know Jay Park was this injured! So glad he's recovering," "It was amazing how he still performed with crutches, wishing him a speedy full recovery!" and "So excited for LNGSHOT's debut!"
