Group KiiiKiii Shares Emotional Tokyo Dome Debut Experience on 'Cultwo Show'
K-pop group KiiiKiii shared their overwhelming feelings upon stepping onto the Tokyo Dome stage for the first time, delivering an unforgettable moment for their fans.
The members – Ji-yu, Lee-sol, Sui, Ha-eum, and Ki-ya – appeared on the SBS Power FM radio show ‘Two o'clock Escape Cultwo Show’ (hereafter ‘Cultwo Show’) on the 16th to discuss their latest song, ‘To Me From Me’.
KiiiKiii, who achieved a terrestrial music show win just 13 days after their debut and secured five rookie awards, reflected on their achievements. Ki-ya stated, "We always aimed to win the rookie award because it's only available when you debut," adding, "With five wins under our belt, we're more motivated than ever to aim for even bigger awards."
The new track, ‘To Me From Me,’ serves as the OST for the web novel ‘Dear X: My Future Self to My Present Self,’ and has garnered significant attention as it was produced by Tablo. Lee-sol shared her connection to the song, saying, "Listening to the song reminded me of my trainee days. The lyrics, like 'Sometimes I want to cry, but I just need to endure for one day,' resonated with me and offered comfort."
Recalling their participation in the ‘Music Expo Live’ concert, where they performed alongside Japanese idols, KiiiKiii also spoke about their Tokyo Dome experience. Ji-yu confessed, "When I first stepped on stage, I almost cried hearing the fans' cheers." She humorously added, "In my excitement, I mistakenly mixed languages and shouted, 'Minasang, make some noise!' in a blend of Japanese and Korean."
Meanwhile, KiiiKiii is set to continue their active promotions. ‘Cultwo Show’ airs daily from 2 PM to 4 PM KST on SBS Power FM 107.7MHz.
Korean netizens reacted enthusiastically, commenting, 'KiiiKiii's Tokyo Dome debut is amazing!', 'The new song is so good, and it's touching that it reminded them of their trainee days,' and 'Thank you for coming on Cultwo Show!'.
