Fantasy Boys' Kim Woo-seok Makes Successful Acting Debut in Play 'Romance is a Mirage'

Kim Woo-seok, a member of the group Fantasy Boys, has successfully made his acting debut in the play 'Romance is a Mirage'.

Taking on the role of 'Kevin Jeong' in the play which premiered on the 13th at the Changwoo Theater in Bukchon, Seoul, Kim Woo-seok embarked on his first acting challenge, collaborating with his university peers.

'Romance is a Mirage' is an original human comedy play set in a guesthouse on Jeju Island, warmly depicting the love and relationships of youth. It is a project brought together by current students and alumni of Konkuk University's Department of Media Acting, College of Arts and Design.

Kim Woo-seok, who was admitted to Konkuk University's Department of Media Acting in the early admission track for the 2025 academic year, participated in this production as a 'Class of '25' freshman. Following his debut performance, he garnered positive reviews for his delicate emotional portrayal that drew the audience into the story.

"I sincerely thank my professors, seniors, and the fans who came to support my first acting challenge," Kim Woo-seok shared. "It was a great honor just to be on stage with such wonderful professors and seniors. Despite having many areas to improve as I started this new challenge in acting, I learned and grew a lot during rehearsals thanks to everyone's meticulous help and encouragement."

He added, "Meeting you all, my 'Bandis' (Fantasy Boys fandom name), who came a long way despite it being a weekday to support my acting debut, gave me great strength. Thanks to your cheers, I was able to successfully complete my first performance."

Kim Woo-seok debuted as a member of Fantasy Boys through the MBC audition program 'Boys Fantasy'. He is currently pursuing both entertainment activities and his studies at Konkuk University's Department of Media Acting. He plans to engage in various acting activities in the future, building on this experience with 'Romance is a Mirage'.
