Veteran Actor Kim Kap-soo Joins tvN's 'Pro Bono' as Legal Legend Oh Gyu-jang
Veteran actor Kim Kap-soo is set to captivate audiences once again with his confirmed role in the upcoming tvN weekend drama 'Pro Bono'.
His agency, F&F Entertainment, announced on the 17th that Kim Kap-soo will be appearing in the drama, scheduled to premiere on December 6th. He is slated to portray Oh Gyu-jang, the founder of the top law firm Oh & Partners. Though he has since stepped down as CEO to become a consultant, Oh Gyu-jang remains a legendary and formidable figure in the legal world, often referred to as a 'monster' by peers.
Oh Gyu-jang is credited with transforming Oh & Partners into a mega-firm. Kim Kap-soo is expected to showcase his signature charisma and keen strategic mind, bringing the complex character to life. 'Pro Bono' is a human legal drama that follows a social climber judge who unexpectedly becomes a public interest lawyer, finding himself trapped in a low-revenue public interest team within a top-tier law firm. The series also boasts a star-studded cast including Jung Kyung-ho, So Ju-yeon, and Lee Yoo-young.
Kim Kap-soo has consistently delivered memorable performances across various genres. Last year alone, he impressed viewers with his dual roles as the ambitious chaebol chairman Hong Man-dae in 'Queen of Tears' and the principled former chairman Yoon Jae-ho in 'Love on a Single Plank Bridge,' demonstrating his remarkable acting versatility.
Fans are eagerly anticipating his latest transformation. 'Pro Bono' will air its first episode on Saturday, December 6th, at 9:10 PM KST on tvN.
Fans expressed their excitement, commenting, 'Kim Kap-soo is always a guarantee of quality acting!', 'He embodies every role perfectly,' and 'I'll definitely be tuning in for this drama.'
