'2 Days & 1 Night' Season 4 Concludes Autumn 'Core Trip' with Breathtaking Views and Hilarious Mishaps
The beloved KBS 2TV variety show '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4' has wrapped up its autumn special, 'This Very Autumn,' leaving viewers with stunning scenery and memorable moments.
The episode, broadcast on the 16th, took the six members to Danyang and Jecheon in North Chungcheong Province, showcasing the beauty of autumn. The show achieved a nationwide viewership rating of 8.2% according to Nielsen Korea, securing the top spot in its time slot. A particularly thrilling moment, featuring DinDin and Yoo Seon-ho finally reaching the picturesque Ag-eo Peak after a strenuous hike, garnered a peak rating of 10.2%. The 2049 viewership rating also ranked first in the metropolitan area with 2.1%.
However, the journey wasn't without its unexpected twists. Lee Jun, initially a spectator to Jo Se-ho's paragliding adventure, was unexpectedly chosen for a hidden mission and prepared for a flight. Unfortunately, due to unfavorable winds, he waited for about 70 minutes on the launchpad before the paragliding was canceled for safety reasons, leaving him with a sense of disappointment.
Moving on to the next mission at Uirimji, the '2 Days & 1 Night' team engaged in a citizen participation game called 'Finding Mr. Kim in Jecheon.' Teams Jong-Joon (Kim Jong-min, Jo Se-ho, Lee Jun) and Choi-Baek-Core (Moon Se-yoon, DinDin, Yoo Seon-ho) eagerly sought partners among citizens with high step counts, fueling their competitive spirits. After a fierce challenge combining the members' and their partners' steps, the Jong-Joon team emerged victorious, collecting 17 puzzle pieces compared to the Choi-Baek-Core team's 7.
As a result, the Choi-Baek-Core team was designated for the penalty: a hike up Mt. Worak the following morning. DinDin, who had been mindful of his image as a 'considerate celebrity' throughout the trip, erupted in laughter-inducing frustration upon learning of the penalty.
During the evening meal's lucky draw mission, 'Protect It By Guessing,' Jo Se-ho faced a barrage of playful criticism from the members for repeatedly missing easy questions. Despite only securing two menu items out of seven rounds, the team enjoyed their hard-earned meal, with Jo Se-ho and DinDin exchanging apologies for their earlier heated exchanges.
The 'Bedroom Lottery' segment involved a 'Hearty Autumn Outing' competition with the staff. The Choi-Baek-Core team secured two indoor sleeping spots after winning the first round, tug-of-war, with crucial support from Moon Se-yoon and the camera crew, and went on to win the second round. The Jong-Joon team managed to avoid a complete sweep by winning the final obstacle relay race.
In the final draw, Lee Jun was assigned an indoor sleeping spot but generously offered his spot to Moon Se-yoon, who was facing the next day's hiking penalty, showcasing remarkable teamwork.
The next morning, Moon Se-yoon, DinDin, and Yoo Seon-ho embarked on their penalty hike up Mt. Worak to Ag-eo Peak. En route, a game decided who would descend early, with Moon Se-yoon being the lucky one. DinDin, once again losing a final chance, humorously unleashed his 'unfiltered celebrity' persona.
Continuing their ascent, DinDin and Yoo Seon-ho were rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view from Ag-eo Peak, making their arduous journey worthwhile. They concluded the trip with a Cortis Challenge dance closing.
This autumn journey through Danyang and Jecheon allowed the '2 Days & 1 Night' team to fully embrace the season, offering viewers a vivid armchair travel experience filled with spectacular landscapes.
Netizens reacted positively, with comments like 'DinDin's Mt. Worak penalty was hilarious,' 'Lee Jun's paragliding cancellation is such a shame,' and 'The autumn scenery was truly beautiful,' expressing anticipation for the next episode.
