Song Ji-hyo Opens Up About CEO Dilemmas: 'Do I Sound Like a Boomer for Wanting Team Lunches?'
Actress and entrepreneur Song Ji-hyo has candidly shared her minor worries as a CEO, sparking interest among fans.
On the 15th, a short-form video titled 'The Company CEO Asks to Eat Together' was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Ji Hyo Song'. The clip showed Song Ji-hyo deep in thought alone as lunchtime approached.
"My team members always want to eat together with me, so sometimes I think they might want to go eat whatever they please on their own," Song Ji-hyo confessed, adding with an awkward smile, "It's not a demand at all. But I like eating together. Does that make me sound like a boomer?"
She then called an employee to ask about their lunch plans. Upon hearing the employee seemed to prefer eating individually, Song Ji-hyo paused, momentarily speechless, and replied with a dejected, "Yes... I understand..." Her conflict between the desire to treat her employees to meals and their freedom to choose resonated humorously.
In a previously released vlog documenting her commute, Song Ji-hyo was seen walking to the office with her face covered by a hat and mask, saying, "I needed this time today." She has consistently shown the healing moments and realistic concerns within her CEO life.
Meanwhile, Song Ji-hyo is actively working as the CEO of an underwear brand she launched after eight years of preparation. She expressed her affection for the brand, stating, "It's so rewarding to have meetings and come up with ideas every day," and "As repeat purchases increase, I can't afford to be careless."
She recently mentioned in a TV appearance, "Sales have increased noticeably," indicating her continued success as a businesswoman.
Korean netizens reacted with understanding and support, commenting, "I understand the CEO's feelings," "Your team probably likes eating with you too!", and "Choosing lunch menus can be a big worry."
