Controversy Brews Over NewJeans' Potential Full-Group Return Amid 'Disrespectful' Member Behavior

ADOR's reported plans for a full-group comeback for girl group NewJeans are facing significant backlash due to the perceived 'disrespectful' attitude of some members and their parents.

Following a legal dispute that led to a 'humiliating U-turn,' critics argue that the members and parents should have adopted a more humble stance. While Hyein and Haerin reportedly coordinated their return with ADOR, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle allegedly released their own statement without awaiting ADOR's response, drawing accusations of unilateral communication.

A music industry insider stated, "The way NewJeans' three members are returning is inappropriate and detrimental to K-pop's development."

Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin also expressed support for the members' return, saying, "NewJeans is only complete with five members." However, her statement is seen as contradictory given her role in the preceding events.

Industry sources suggest ADOR has no reason to bend to the intentions of Min Hee-jin and the three members, and that restructuring around Hyein and Haerin could be a more rational approach. Staff within the K-pop industry are reportedly angered by the attitude of the three NewJeans members.

Netizens are commenting, "Even so, shouldn't they at least show basic manners?" "If it's going to be like this, why not just continue as a group of three?" and "In the end, they only think of themselves," criticizing the members' conduct.
