Kim Gun-mo Returns to Stage After 6-Year Hiatus with National Tour, Vows to Ignore Negative Comments
Veteran singer Kim Gun-mo has made his comeback to the music scene with a national tour, marking his return to live performances after a six-year break.
The tour kicked off with a concert on November 15th at the Suwon Gymnasium, where fans gathered to see the beloved artist perform once again.
During the approximately two-and-a-half-hour show, Kim Gun-mo captivated the audience with his powerful vocals, delivering renditions of his greatest hits.
A particularly touching moment came at the end of the concert when he addressed the crowd, stating, "With your support, I will live without paying attention to comments." He added, "I will become a cute elder who has aged beautifully and will always linger by your side."
Kim Gun-mo had stepped away from the spotlight following sexual assault allegations that surfaced in late 2019. The legal battle concluded in 2021 with a not-guilty verdict from the prosecution, paving the way for his return.
Fellow singer Woody showed his support by posting a photo with Kim Gun-mo on social media, captioning it "My hero, My idol."
Netizens have expressed a mix of anticipation and support for Kim Gun-mo's return. Comments include, "His stage presence is still amazing after all these years!", "Hoping for nothing but good things for him after going through so much," and "Don't mind the haters, we're here for your music!"
