BTS's Jin & j-hope Dominate Global Charts with Solo Tours, Setting New Records for Korean Solo Artists
Global music sensation BTS members Jin and j-hope have proven their individual power by topping international charts with their solo tours, establishing themselves as leading Korean solo artists.
According to the latest rankings from American performance trade publication Pollstar, both Jin and j-hope achieved the highest positions among Korean solo artists on the 'Top 20 Global Concert Tours' and 'Asia Focus Charts: Top Touring Artists' charts, respectively. They are the only Korean solo artists to be featured on these prestigious lists, showcasing the immense global appeal of K-pop solo acts.
Jin's solo fan concert tour, '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR,' held from June to August, secured the 14th spot on the 'Top 20 Global Concert Tours' list, which is calculated based on average box office revenue per city. His shows in Goyang, South Korea, and Chiba and Osaka, Japan, sold out completely. Notably, his concert at Osaka's Kyocera Dome achieved a 'perfect sell-out,' including the upper 8th tier and seats with obstructed views, an unprecedented feat for a Korean solo artist. Jin also made history as the first Korean solo artist to perform at London's O2 Arena in the UK and attracted the largest audience for a Korean artist at the Honda Center in Anaheim, USA. Furthermore, he became the first Korean solo artist to completely sell out the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Jin's fan concert was conceptualized as a spin-off expanding the universe of his own variety show, 'Drinker with Jin.' The performances garnered rave reviews from major international media, with Rolling Stone UK calling it "a world of Kim Seok-jin, and never ordinary," NME hailing him as an "astonishing performer," and the LA Times praising it as a "masterclass in fan engagement." Jin successfully concluded his approximately three-month world tour with an encore concert in Incheon on October 31-November 1.
j-hope's solo world tour, 'HOPE ON THE STAGE,' which ran from February to June, ranked 5th on the 'Asia Focus Charts: Top Touring Artists' (tracking period October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2025). This chart is based on total ticket sales from concerts held in Asia. j-hope sold out all 21 shows across 10 Asian cities, drawing approximately 342,000 spectators and reaffirming his strong touring competitiveness. He also left a significant mark on the concert scene by being the first Korean solo artist to perform at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, USA.
The 'HOPE ON THE STAGE' tour, including its encore, comprised 33 performances in 16 cities, attracting around 524,000 fans. International media lauded the tour, with Forbes calling it a "masterpiece showcasing creativity and musical peak," NME stating it "proved his talent and intense energy once again," and Billboard labeling it a "tour that opened a new era for j-hope."
Meanwhile, BTS members were also recognized at the '2025 Korea Grand Music Awards with iM Bank,' held on November 14-15. Jin received the 'Best Music Video Award' for his solo second album's title track 'Don't Say You Love Me.' j-hope won the 'Best Hip Hop Award,' Jimin was honored with the 'Fan Favorite Artist' award, and V received the 'Trend of the Year (K-Pop Solo)' award, highlighting their individual achievements and influence.
Fans are expressing immense pride and excitement over Jin and j-hope's solo achievements. Comments include, 'Global superstars!
