Hoyoung, a member of the group VERIVERY, will be fulfilling his mandatory military service as a public service worker starting November 27.

His agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, announced the enlistment news through an official statement on the 17th. The agency stated, "There will be no separate official event on the day of his enlistment into the training center." They added, "For safety reasons, we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site or the alternative service location."

"We ask for your warm support and love so that Hoyoung can faithfully fulfill his military duties and return in good health," the statement continued.

Hoyoung had previously halted his activities in October of last year due to symptoms of psychological anxiety and had been focusing on treatment. Consequently, despite the recent news of the team's contract renewals and upcoming comeback, Hoyoung will be unable to participate in these activities.

While all VERIVERY members recently renewed their contracts and announced their comeback, Hoyoung and Minchan (who is currently inactive) will be unable to join team activities for the time being due to military service obligations and health reasons. The upcoming comeback activities for their fourth single album will proceed with the remaining five members: Dongheon, Gyehyeon, Yeonho, Yongseung, and Kangmin.

Fans expressed mixed emotions, commenting, "Hoyoung, take care and come back healthy!" and "We'll be waiting for you." Many also shared their understanding, stating, "We're sad, but your health comes first." The timing, coinciding with the group's contract renewals and comeback announcement, has also drawn particular attention and sympathy.
