Entertainer Poongja Opens Up About Dealing with Malicious Comments, Finds Comfort in Camp Site Owner's Kindness

Entertainer Poongja has candidly shared her struggles with malicious online comments, while also expressing deep gratitude for the warm reception she received from a camp site owner.

In a YouTube video uploaded on the 16th to her channel 'Poongja TV,' Poongja embarked on a solo camping trip for some relaxation. During her stay, the camp site owner recognized her and warmly welcomed her.

"I had such a great time and the owners were so kind when I visited before," Poongja recalled. "When I came back this time, the owner told me, 'So many fans have visited because of you,' and expressed their sincere thanks. They even offered me many services because they wanted to do something nice for me."

She continued, "The path to buy food was tough, but after talking with the owner for about 10 minutes, they said they enjoyed watching my broadcasts, which made me feel proud. I'm just an ordinary person, but it makes me so happy to be appreciated and liked just for existing. It’s an overwhelming feeling."

However, Poongja also revealed the difficulties she faces in her broadcasting career. "Even with 100 or 1000 positive comments, I sometimes get fixated on just one malicious comment," she confessed. "I wonder if I'm broadcasting just to be hated, and it feels like I'm giving people who dislike me more reasons to criticize me."

Despite these challenges, she found solace in a recent encounter. "Meeting the owner today and talking with them, and taking a photo, felt like healing that was even better than camping," she shared. "I've been feeling tired lately, but talking with the owner gave me more comfort than this camping trip. I feel like I could fly."

Poongja, a transgender entertainer, gained popularity for her witty remarks. She has been actively appearing on various entertainment shows and recently won the Female Rookie Award at the '2023 MBC Entertainment Awards' and the Best Chemistry Award at the '2024 SBS Entertainment Awards'.
