Hongjoong of the group ATEEZ has spread his positive influence by celebrating his birthday with a meaningful charitable endeavor.

The '2025 Global 6K Marathon' virtual run campaign, organized by Hongjoong and his fans, ATEEZiny, has concluded successfully amidst enthusiastic global participation.

This campaign, themed 'Hongjoong6K Special Run,' was initiated by Hongjoong, who is the official model for World Vision's '2025 Global 6K Marathon.' He wanted to practice meaningful sharing with his fans to commemorate his birthday on November 7th. Following the application period last month, approximately 4,000 fans from both Korea and abroad participated. They ran 6km without time or location constraints between November 1st and 7th, and shared their achievements on social media.

Participants received special rewards, including a Hongjoong-themed digital race bib, photocards, a wake-up call voice message, a running playlist, and a certificate of participation. A social media verification event further fueled the fans' voluntary engagement and excitement. Notably, this year's event expanded beyond Korea, partnering with World Vision Singapore to engage a broader community of global fans and citizens in this charitable initiative.

The total donation of 60 million KRW, collected from the participation fee of 11,700 KRW per person, will be fully donated to World Vision. These funds will be used for global water supply projects aimed at securing safe drinking water and improving sanitation for children in African regions.

Previously, Hongjoong has been actively involved with World Vision since 2022, participating in various sponsorship activities for children in Korea and abroad, including the 'Dream Wing Club' for supporting children's dreams, support for adolescents taking care of their families, and water projects in Zambia. Last year, he led the first 'Global 6K Marathon' virtual run with about 3,400 fans, donating 60 million KRW, continuing his legacy of positive influence.

Following the successful completion of the 'Global 6K Marathon' virtual run campaign with his fans, Hongjoong expressed his gratitude, stating, 'Running with the same heart as my fans, I felt once again that this is something possible because we are together. I am truly thankful to everyone who pooled their hearts for this cause.' He added, 'I hope this provides even a small amount of help to the children and residents in Africa facing difficulties with water and sanitation.'

Jo Myung-hwan, President of World Vision, also conveyed his appreciation, saying, 'I am deeply grateful to Hongjoong and the fans for continuing to link his birthday with sharing, following last year.' He assured, 'World Vision will do its best to ensure that this warmhearted support collected through running together brings hope to the children.'

Korean netizens lauded Hongjoong's consistent charitable efforts, commenting things like 'Hongjoong always sets a great example!' and 'It's heartwarming to see fans participating in such meaningful events together.' Many expressed pride in his positive impact and wished for the campaign's success.
