Actor and model Bae Jung-nam delivered a deeply moving experience for viewers as he shared long-hidden painful memories and wounds with a shaman on the SBS entertainment show 'My Little Old Boy'.

In the episode aired on the 16th, Bae Jung-nam, born in 1983, met with a shaman to discuss his life story. The shaman informed him, "This year is the year of the three disasters, and next year is the year of tearful disasters." Bae Jung-nam, who recently lost his beloved pet dog, Bell, his closest family member, expressed his bittersweet feelings, asking, "Do I have to cry again next year?"

During their conversation, the shaman mentioned, "There was someone who liked to drink. Your father is asking why you don't visit his grave." Bae Jung-nam cautiously revealed that he hadn't visited his father's grave in six years. He confessed, "When I was going through a difficult time, no one helped me. After the funeral, I closed myself off emotionally," adding, "All my relatives became strangers, and I stopped visiting."

The shaman relayed his father's message: "Your father misses you. He says not to feel sorry. He remembers when you used to arm-wrestle." Overcome with emotion, Bae Jung-nam's eyes welled up as he whispered towards his father, "That's right. I remember. Rest in peace."

In a shocking turn, Bae Jung-nam also recounted a traumatic incident he had never spoken of before. The shaman mentioned, "There's a grandfather next to you," prompting Bae Jung-nam to recall a deeply buried memory from a few years ago. While walking his dog, Bell, he encountered an elderly man.

"I thought he was exercising. He didn't respond when I called, so I approached and found him hanging himself. The feeling was so strange." He immediately called 112 and revealed his desperate struggle to untie the rope before rescue services arrived. "It wouldn't come undone because of the weight. It was so hard doing it alone. It was broad daylight, but the shock was immense," he stated calmly. Tragically, he was unable to save the man. He confessed that he had to pass that same path every day afterward and had poured soju and rice wine for 49 days, praying for his soul and burying money for his journey.

The shaman praised his courage and warm heart, saying, "It must not have been easy to act like that, you did very well."

Following the broadcast, netizens sent messages of comfort and support for his painful confession. Comments flooded in, such as, "Trying to save a dying life… that's not easy," "It must be a trauma, but it's amazing that you tried to handle it until the end," "How can a person's heart be this warm… I hope only good things happen from now on," and "It's incredible that you even brought up such difficult memories. I'm always cheering for you." Bae Jung-nam's sincere confession left a profound impact on many, reminding them of the weight of his life's journey and his enduring goodness.

Netizens offered strong words of encouragement and empathy, with comments like "It's not easy to try and save a life," "It's admirable that you tried to help despite the trauma," and "Thank you for sharing your difficult memories; we're always rooting for you."
