Veteran singer Jeon In-kwon has bravely shared a harrowing experience from his past for the first time: a robbery at his studio that occurred 40 years after his debut. He revealed that this traumatic event became the inspiration behind his iconic song, 'Dolgo Dolgo Dolgo' (transl. 'Going Round and Round').

The story was unveiled in a YouTube video uploaded on the 17th to the channel 'Jjanhanhyeong,' titled 'Return of a Legend, Infinitely Going Round and Round [Jjanhanhyeong EP.119].' The episode featured Jeon In-kwon alongside MCs Shin Dong-yup, Kim Joon-hyun, and Jeong Ho-cheol, delving into his four-decade-long musical journey.

During the broadcast, Jeon In-kwon remarked, "It's been 40 years since my debut, and 40 years since my hits." Shin Dong-yup responded with admiration, stating, "I've been active for 35 years, and I still have a long way to go." He reminisced about Jeon In-kwon's early days, calling him a "versatile entertainer" who even participated in comedy sketches right after his debut.

Jeon In-kwon calmly recounted his life as one filled with 'much hardship.' He then disclosed the shocking incident at his studio. "One day, a robber broke into my studio. I told him, 'Take everything, just don't let me hear you breaking in multiple times. Then I won't report you,'" he confessed.

The robber indeed took every single item from the studio. True to his word, Jeon In-kwon did not report the incident. He explained that the event served as a profound opportunity for self-reflection. "In that moment, I truly realized how different people can be, even in the same space," he shared. "That feeling became the driving force behind writing the lyrics for 'Dolgo Dolgo Dolgo.' It made me think a lot."

Shin Dong-yup offered sincere comfort, saying, "Perhaps Korea was a bit too small for you to fully realize your dreams, or maybe you were just a genius born too early." Jeon In-kwon humorously replied, "Shin Dong-yup, you must continue until you're 75. I will too," bringing a warm atmosphere to the show.

Netizens reacted enthusiastically, commenting, "You can feel the depth of a lifetime in every word Jeon In-kwon says," "It's typical Jeon In-kwon genius that the robbery incident was sublimated into 'Dolgo Dolgo Dolgo'," and "Shin Dong-yup's heartfelt consolation made it perfect." The fans expressed admiration for his raw honesty and artistic genius.
