INFINITE's Jang Dong-woo Returns as Solo Artist with 'AWAKE' After 6 Years

Jang Dong-woo, a member of the K-pop group INFINITE, is set to make his comeback as a solo artist.

He will release his second mini-album, 'AWAKE,' on May 18th at 6 PM KST across various music streaming platforms, marking a significant return to the music scene.

'AWAKE' is Jang Dong-woo's first solo album in approximately six years and eight months, following his debut mini-album 'BYE' released in 2019 before his military enlistment. The album aims to awaken dormant emotions amidst repetitive daily life. The album also includes a Chinese version of 'SWAY,' further demonstrating Jang Dong-woo's versatile musical spectrum.

Notably, Jang Dong-woo actively participated in the songwriting for 'SWAY,' 'TiK Tak Toe,' and 'SUPER BIRTHDAY,' and also contributed to the lyrics, composition, and arrangement of '인생 (人生).' This hands-on involvement highlights his refined musical capabilities and personal touch.

Across its six tracks, 'AWAKE' presents a rich tapestry of melodies and rhythms. Jang Dong-woo is poised to captivate global listeners, transcending his roles as INFINITE's main rapper and dancer with his deepened emotional expression and polished vocal skills.

Furthermore, Jang Dong-woo is scheduled to hold his solo fan meeting, also titled 'AWAKE,' on May 29th at the Unjeong Green Campus Grand Auditorium of Sungshin Women's University in Seoul. The fan meeting, held shortly after the album's release, promises to be a special occasion for both attending and non-attending fans.
