The highly anticipated Netflix original variety show, 'Black & White Chef: Culinary Class War 2' (hereinafter referred to as 'Black & White Chef 2'), has officially confirmed its return on December 16th.

'Black & White Chef 2' pits talented underdog 'black spoon' chefs against elite 'white spoon' star chefs in an unpredictable culinary battle of classes. The newly released 'black spoon poster' and 'teaser trailer' offer a glimpse into the intense passion and determination of the competing chefs.

The black spoon poster showcases chefs from diverse culinary backgrounds – Korean, Western, Chinese, Japanese, and fusion – fiercely battling flames and ingredients, radiating their culinary fervor. They are depicted meticulously preparing traditional liquor, searing juicy meats, and dedicating themselves to the pursuit of authentic flavors.

The accompanying teaser trailer features an impressive lineup of white spoon chefs, including Michelin 2-star Chef Lee Jun, Michelin 1-star Chef Son Jong-won, Korea's first temple food master Monk Seonjae, and 57-year veteran Chinese cuisine master Chef Hu De-zhu. The black spoon chefs express awe, remarking, "They are so amazing. They're competing with their stars on the line," and "Chef Hu De-zhu is a god in Chinese cuisine."

Furthermore, statements from the black spoon chefs like "We've waited for this competition," "We'll pour out everything we've prepared," and "We have to make our names known to the world" reveal their burning ambition and strong will to win, significantly heightening anticipation for the upcoming culinary showdown.

Season 1 captivated audiences with its dramatic narrative of fierce competition and unexpected twists. It achieved the No. 1 spot on Netflix's Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) for three consecutive weeks, a first for a Korean Netflix variety show. It also topped Gallup Korea's 'Most Liked Programs' survey, solidifying its immense popularity both domestically and internationally.

Season 2 is expected to satisfy viewers' senses worldwide with an even more intense culinary showdown between the black and white spoons, showcasing the rebirth of 'Korean flavors' through the skillful hands of chefs utilizing diverse ingredients from across the country.

PDs Kim Hak-min and Kim Eun-ji stated, "We are grateful for the tremendous love received in Season 1, and we worked hard to prepare Season 2 to reciprocate that love." They added, "We aimed to create a more complete Season 2 by inheriting the strengths of Season 1 and addressing its shortcomings," urging viewers to "look forward to the new rules, missions, and surprise elements."

'Black & White Chef 2' will be available exclusively on Netflix starting December 16th.

Fans are expressing immense excitement following the announcement of Season 2, building on the success of the first season. Netizen comments include: "Finally, it's back! I wonder which chefs will appear this time?", "I watched the last season and absolutely loved it, so Season 2 is a must-watch live!", and "I'm so curious about the new rules and missions!"
