Jaurim's Kim Yoon-ah Reveals Burnout Struggle: "I Was Just Struggling!"

Jaurim's vocalist Kim Yoon-ah has candidly shared her experience with burnout.

Appearing on the KBS1 program 'Achim Madang' on the 18th, the iconic South Korean rock band Jaurim, celebrating their 27th year since debut, were guests.

The band took the time to introduce their 12th album, 'LIFE!', released on the 9th. Kim Yoon-ah performed the title track, 'Life! LIFE!', live on the spot, explaining, "It's a song I created and performed with the band."

She elaborated, "There's an exclamation mark after 'Life,' giving it a feeling of 'This is life!' It's a song that asks, 'My life, give me an answer, why are you doing this to me?'"

Recalling the time of album production, Kim Yoon-ah confessed, "After continuously performing, working, and creating many pieces, it was time for Jaurim's album. By then, I had done so much work that I felt like I was going crazy. Thoughts like, 'When do I get to rest? What's happening to my life?' arose."

She continued, "At times like that, I thought, 'I can't take it anymore. Life, don't do this to me. It might look like I'm dancing, but I'm actually just struggling!' That's how I made the song, but it wasn't just my story. I believe many people feel similarly in their lives. So, I think many will be able to relate."

In response, member Kim Jin-man shared his initial impression of 'Life! LIFE!': "When I first heard this song, I thought it might be the album's title track. We don't usually talk about these things in the early stages of work, but it progressed naturally, and the album title was eventually set as 'LIFE!'", revealing the behind-the-scenes story.
