Band 1415 to Continue as a Solo Act Following Member Oh Ji-hyun's Departure

Popular band 1415 has announced a significant change in their lineup, revealing they will now be active as a solo act.

On the 16th, members Joo Sung-geun and Oh Ji-hyun shared a joint statement through the band's official channels. "After extensive discussions, we have decided that 1415 will continue its activities under Joo Sung-geun's solo leadership," they announced.

Oh Ji-hyun will be stepping back from active performance but will continue to support 1415 from the sidelines. The band will not be recruiting new members, with Joo Sung-geun set to lead the musical direction. Oh Ji-hyun plans to offer warm encouragement and support in various forms outside of performances.

1415 debuted in 2017 with their EP 'DEAR : X' and gained popularity with hits like 'Draw Your Boundary'. They have also contributed to various drama soundtracks, enhancing their musical presence. The members expressed gratitude to their fans for their unwavering support throughout their journey.

"All the moments we've shared, crying and laughing through music, each and every one has been a great strength to us. We will not forget each of your hearts," the statement read. "We ask for your continued support for our individual paths and for the future music of 1415."

Fans expressed their sadness at the news, commenting, "It's a shame about the solo change, but I respect their decision," and "Joo Sung-geun, please keep making great music! Ji-hyun, we'll always be cheering for you too."
