Lee Je-hoon Promises 'Taxi Driver 3' Will Surpass Previous Seasons with Deeper, More Refreshing Revenge

Lee Je-hoon, who reprises his role as Kim Do-gi in the upcoming season of 'Taxi Driver,' has expressed confidence that 'Taxi Driver 3' will deliver even more compelling entertainment than its predecessors.

The press conference for the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' was held on the afternoon of the 18th at the SBS headquarters in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. Director Kang Bo-seung, along with actors Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram, attended the event to share insights.

'Taxi Driver 3' continues the story of the mysterious taxi company Rainbow Transport and its driver Kim Do-gi, who carries out private revenge missions on behalf of victims who have suffered injustice.

When asked about the possibility of 'Taxi Driver 3' surpassing seasons 1 and 2, Lee Je-hoon remarked, "It's certainly nerve-wracking to follow such strong previous seasons. However, I believe viewers will feel the increased depth, stronger bonds, and the satisfying, 'soda-like' catharsis that we experienced while filming." He added, "The fact that the 'Taxi Driver' series has reached season 3 is entirely due to the immense love and support from our viewers. I promise to repay that support with even more thrilling and refreshing entertainment this season."

Pyo Ye-jin highlighted the expanded scale of season 3, noting, "The scale has grown, and the actors participating in each episode are performing even more powerfully." Jang Hyuk-jin elaborated on the revenge narratives, stating, "Unlike previous seasons where we might have felt the 'sweet potato' moments before the 'soda' payoff, this season builds up the tension more gradually, leading to a more explosive release." Bae Yoo-ram emphasized the show's focus, saying, "While we focus on confronting villains, we also delve into how victims find solace and healing. The process of healing for victims, alongside their confrontations with villains, is something viewers should consider.
