Actress Kim Seo-hyung Adopts Elderly Rescue Dog 'Noki', Renamed 'Haenguni'

Actress Kim Seo-hyung has once again touched hearts by becoming the new family member of an elderly rescue dog on the brink of euthanasia.

The rescue organization 'Angel Project' announced on the 18th that Kim Seo-hyung had adopted 'Noki', an elderly dog under their care. Noki was rescued in 2022 from a shelter in Chungju, suffering from severe malnutrition and skin conditions. Despite rescue efforts, Noki's health deteriorated to the point where he could no longer walk on his own. The organization had been providing hospice care at a foster home capable of 24-hour monitoring.

Kim Seo-hyung had been following Noki's story since early this year, showing deep concern. She had consistently supported Noki with donations totaling 10 million KRW. Expressing a desire to meet Noki in person, she visited the shelter on the 18th and immediately decided to adopt him.

Having officially joined Kim Seo-hyung's family, Noki has been given a new name, 'Haenguni' (meaning 'lucky' or 'fortune' in Korean). An Angel Project representative shared, "We don't know the full extent of Noki's past life, but for the remainder of his days, he will be in the warm embrace of a loving mother and a cozy home." The organization added, "Having a hand to pet him when he wakes up and a family to stay by his side is a miracle in itself for this child," expressing profound gratitude to Kim Seo-hyung.

The organization also emphasized the importance of adopting senior and special-needs dogs, stating, "Noki has shown us that a true family embraces even the old and sick. We will work more actively to promote and protect the adoption of senior and disabled dogs, so people don't hesitate out of concern for their health."

In recent photos, 'Haenguni' appears peaceful and stable, resting with a flower accessory or nestled comfortably in a blanket, showing a tranquil expression that has moved many.

It is noteworthy that Kim Seo-hyung recently lost her own beloved 20-year-old companion dog about a month ago.
