Jung-ah, former member of girl group After School and now a TV personality, has spoken out against malicious comments targeting her husband, professional basketball player Jung Chang-young.

On the 17th, Jung-ah posted a lengthy message on her social media, accompanied by a photo of herself holding a basketball. She began by stating, "There is no one who does everything perfectly."

She continued, "I know many negative comments are being sent due to today's game, but every player gives their best in every match. Mistakes can happen to both winning and losing teams, and accumulating these experiences helps them learn more, try to fix things, and grow."

"So, rather than sending harsh words, I hope you will look forward to and cheer for the next game," she added. "The players are likely more upset than anyone right now. I ask this of everyone who loves basketball, and for all basketball players."

Earlier that day, Jung Chang-young's team, Suwon KT, lost to Seoul SK 83-85 in overtime during a 2025-2026 LG Electronics Pro Basketball regular season game at Jamsil Students' Gymnasium.

Jung-ah married Jung Chang-young, who is five years her junior, in 2018. They have one son and one daughter.

Netizens responded with supportive comments, such as 'Cheer up, Jung-ah!', 'Players are human too, they can make mistakes,' and 'There are many fans cheering for you, so don't worry too much,' offering encouragement.
