Kim Dong-hyun & Amooti Reveal 'Physical: Asia' Behind-the-Scenes: Hotel Stays to Intense Rivalries

Kim Dong-hyun and Amooti, representing the Korean team in 'Physical: Asia', have shared behind-the-scenes stories from the show's filming.

A new 'Salon de Kip' episode was released on the YouTube channel 'TEO' on the 18th, titled 'Want to fight? Want to bleed? Want to hear the Physical behind-the-scenes?!'. Kim Dong-hyun and Amooti appeared as representatives of the Korean team for 'Physical: Asia' and discussed their experiences.

Kim Dong-hyun revealed, "A major behind-the-scenes detail is that because it was difficult for many participants to travel from overseas, the entire cast stayed in a hotel for two weeks. To ensure fairness, we also stayed in the hotel, eating meals together as if we were in a dormitory."

Amooti recalled, "The hotel had a small gym. When you went there, you'd find one or two people from each country. When alone, people don't necessarily do this, but they would exercise making a lot of noise."

He also mentioned the intense rivalries among the athletes. Kim Dong-hyun shared, "The tension was so high that even during breakfast, the tables were separate, and nobody spoke. They would greet each other, but the sound of forks and knives was all you could hear, to the point where you couldn't tell where your food was going."

Kim Dong-hyun further explained, "When you're in the same hotel, you can gauge who has completed a mission by looking at their physical state. Whether they were covered in dirt, had red faces, or torn clothes, you could infer what the next mission was. So, they tried not to run into each other."

He described the atmosphere upon entering the competition venue: "It felt cold even though it was warm. The smell of sand and wood, and even the ceiling being covered to prevent us from seeing the missions, made the immersion even greater."
