Sam Hammington Recounts 'Absurd' Experiences After Exposing Sons on Broadcast
Broadcaster Sam Hammington has revealed the absurd experiences he faced after his two sons, William and Bentley, were exposed on television.
On the 'New Woman' channel of YouTube's 'Rolling Thunder,' a video titled 'I've Actually Loitered Around My House After Work a Lot (w. Sam Hammington)' was released on the 18th. When asked about his concerns when his sons first appeared on broadcast, Sam Hammington replied, "There were many."
He explained that exposing his children wasn't easy, stating, "Frankly, it's not easy to expose them like this. It's also a personal space. From the perspective of raising kids, we're not exactly receiving education on how to raise them, are we? We're fumbling in the dark." The biggest worry, he added, was that the broadcast material would remain forever.
Sam Hammington recounted a particularly baffling incident: "Around 8:30 in the morning, the doorbell suddenly rang. Someone said, 'I'm a fan of William and Bentley, and I wanted to see them because they're so cute.'" He expressed his bewilderment, and his wife politely declined, saying, "This feels like crossing a line. We're sorry."
He also shared another incident where he and his sons were out without him. "If someone they knew greeted them on the street, from the kids' perspective, they'd think, 'Why do they know my name and call me?' and wouldn't understand. Conversely, if the kids didn't return the greeting, the person would walk by and mutter, 'Why are these kids so ill-mannered?'" he said, expressing regret over the situations where his children were unintentionally misunderstood.
Netizens who watched the broadcast commented, "Even though they are kids, they are so fascinating. I would want to see them too," "But home is private space...", and "Cheer up, Sam Hammington!" showing empathy for his difficulties while expressing curiosity about his children.
