Lee Je-hoon on 'Taxi Driver 3': 'We're Back with 'Delicious' New Characters and a Heroic Taxi'
Actor Lee Je-hoon expressed his high expectations for the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3'.
At the production presentation held on the 18th, Lee Je-hoon revealed his 고민 (gomins - worries/considerations) and excitement about the diverse new sub-characters he will portray this season. He candidly shared, "I was tense, wondering if I could surpass the strong characters from Seasons 1 and 2. There was a mix of anticipation and concern even before receiving the script."
Lee Je-hoon particularly poured his all into the first two episodes, teasing characters with contrasting charms: 'Poong-un-a Dogi' (a spirited, unpredictable Dogi) and 'Hogu Dogi' (a naive, gullible Dogi). He added, "I feel particularly attached to the 'Hogu Dogi' character appearing in episodes 3 and 4."
He continued with confidence, "The 'Rainbow Transport' crew's new sub-characters are also formidable. We'll be able to show you something truly 'delicious' this season."
Regarding the vehicle's transformation, he explained, "It has evolved from the existing Dynasty model into a true 'hero car.'" He also revealed, "I've affectionately nicknamed it the 'Dogi Car' for how it accelerates when facing villains."
When asked about the series' continued popularity, Lee Je-hoon attributed it to the unchanging, precious mindset since the project's inception. "I act with the hope that victims can find healing and solace through our drama," he stated.
On the topic of award ambitions for year-end ceremonies, he humbly replied, "I think I'll only be able to feel emotions about awards once filming is complete."
'Taxi Driver 3,' a story of private revenge for victims who cannot find justice, is set to premiere on the 21st at 9:50 PM.
Netizens expressed high anticipation for the drama, with comments like, 'Actor Lee Je-hoon, I'm so looking forward to Season 3!', 'I want to see the new sub-characters quickly!', and 'I'm excited to see what kind of satisfying justice he'll deliver this time.'
