YouTuber Tzuyang Addresses 'Chinese Nationality' Rumors: 'I Am Korean'
YouTuber Tzuyang has expressed her frustration regarding the various fake news circulating about her.
In a video uploaded on the YouTube channel 'NaRaeSik' on the 19th, titled 'Tzuyang | "They say I'm Tzuyang... Chinese(?)!ㅋㅋㅋ" | Cyber Reckers, Fake News Explanation, 30-serving Mukbang, Thumbnail Filming, Audit Behind-the-Scenes,' she addressed the false claims.
When asked by Park Na-rae about the most absurd fake news she'd encountered, Tzuyang revealed, "There were stories claiming all 12 million subscribers were linked to Chinese forces, and that my nationality was Chinese. It was absurd."
She further elaborated, "My mom and dad called me saying my educational background was falsely registered. They heard I graduated from Sogang University's lifelong education center, which is completely untrue. Even my Chinese name was wrong." She highlighted the abundance of baseless information.
Despite the difficulty, Tzuyang shared her effort to think positively. "Rather than someone who knows nothing about me, perhaps the person spreading these rumors knows more about me?" she pondered, adding, "They might be someone who is struggling emotionally."
Park Na-rae empathized, agreeing, "That's right. They are someone struggling emotionally." She also expressed anger on Tzuyang's behalf, stating, "Going beyond limits is crossing a human line."
Netizens have shown support for Tzuyang's explanation, commenting things like, "Cheer up, Tzuyang!", "Please stop spreading such nonsense," and "Don't worry about the rumors."
