Park Ji-hyun Tears Up After Winning Best Supporting Actress at Blue Dragon Film Awards for 'Hidden Face'

Actress Park Ji-hyun was overcome with emotion as she accepted the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the film 'Hidden Face' at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards, held on November 19th at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.

The prestigious ceremony, co-hosted by actors Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon for the second consecutive year, saw a strong lineup of nominees in the supporting actress category. Competing against established actresses like Yeom Hye-ran ('No Other Law'), Shin Hyun-been ('The Face'), Jeon Yeo-been ('The Sinners'), and Lee Jung-eun ('Zombie Daughter'), Park Ji-hyun's win came as a surprise to many, including herself.

Visibly stunned, Park Ji-hyun expressed her disbelief, stating, "I truly didn't expect to win. I had prepared a little when I was nominated elsewhere, but I'm so nervous receiving this when I didn't prepare anything at all." She continued, "I'm so grateful to the director who trusted me with the role of Miju, and to senior actors Jo Yeo-jeong and Song Seung-heon, who saw me as Miju while acting alongside me."

Recalling her past experience at the awards, she shared, "Seven years ago, I came here as a nominee for the Best New Actress award for the movie 'Gonjiam'. Back then, I didn't know anything and was just busy looking around. Today, there are many people I know here, and I'm happy to be here to celebrate their films."

Park Ji-hyun added a touching note about her aspirations: "Receiving an award like this feels like being at a festival. I thought I was an actress who wasn't greedy for awards, but now that I've received one, I find myself wanting more. I will become an actress who can continue to receive awards."

She concluded with heartfelt words to her family: "Dad, Mom, older sister, younger sibling, thank you so much, I loved you, no, I love you. It's an ongoing present tense."
