In a video uploaded on her YouTube channel 'Kim Yeon-jung' on the 19th, Kim Yeon-jung shared, "I wanted to deliver good news (about our marriage) after the season ended, but it was unexpectedly reported first." She added, "I am getting married. Please give us your support," with a shy greeting. Ha Ju-seok introduced himself as, "A Hanwha Eagles player and Kim Yeon-jung's future husband."

The couple's relationship began five years ago. Kim Yeon-jung explained that after returning to the Hanwha Eagles in 2017, she didn't know the players well. However, she was captivated by Ha Ju-seok's defensive plays and named him as her favorite player from her first interview. They naturally grew closer after he gave her gifts and they shared meals.
