Ballad Master Kyuhyun Returns with New EP 'The Classic', Showcasing the Essence of Heartfelt Emotion
Super Junior member Kyuhyun is back with his signature 'ballad approach' through his new EP 'The Classic'.
Released today (20th) at 6 PM KST on various music platforms, 'The Classic' features five Kyuhyun-style ballad tracks. The title song, 'Like First Snow', metaphorically portrays the journey of love from its beginning to its end using the cycle of seasons, promising deep emotion with Kyuhyun's poignant vocals.
The accompanying music video is expected to sensually depict an unreturnable past, capturing the universal theme of first love memories with Kyuhyun's characteristically restrained and delicate sensibility, maximizing immersion.
In addition to the title track, the EP includes five other songs: 'Nap', 'Goodbye, My Friend', 'Living in Memories', and 'Compass'. Each track unfolds like a lyrical poem, capturing various facets of love.
This new album, released approximately one year after his full-length album 'COLORS' last November, explores the aesthetic of classic ballads through sophisticated emotional expression and sound production that focuses on the intrinsic qualities of musical instruments. Furthermore, alongside the EP release, Kyuhyun will hold his solo concert '2025 Kyuhyun (KYUHYUN) Concert 'The Classic'' from December 19th to 21st at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul. Tickets for the concert, sharing the same title as the EP, sold out within five minutes of their release, reaffirming his strong ticket-selling power. Kyuhyun plans to conclude the year with rich melodies accompanied by an orchestra.
