Lee Seung-gi Gifts Parents a Luxury Townhouse Worth 2.6 Billion KRW

Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi has reportedly gifted his parents a luxurious townhouse valued at approximately 2.6 billion KRW (around $1.9 million USD).

According to a report by women's magazine 'Woman Sense' on the 22nd, Lee Seung-gi recently transferred ownership of a townhouse he had held for 10 years in Gyeonggi Province's Gwangju City to his parents.

The property, a detached house spanning the basement and first floor with a total area of 289㎡ (approximately 3,120 sq ft), is known for being a popular retreat for chaebol families in the 수도권 (Seoul Metropolitan Area).

Lee Seung-gi originally purchased the townhouse in 2016 for about 1.3 billion KRW. Considering that a similar property in the same complex was recently sold for 2.6 billion KRW, the transfer represents a significant appreciation in value.

Lee Seung-gi married actress Lee Da-in in 2023 and they have a daughter. The couple initially settled in a high-end villa in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on a 10.5 billion KRW lease, and are currently constructing a new detached house in Jangchung-dong.
