Hyun Bin & Son Ye-jin Sweep Top Acting Awards at Blue Dragon Film Awards; Lee Kwang-soo & Lee Sun-bin Share Sweet Moments
The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards was painted with love as power couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin not only attended together but also clinched top acting honors, taking home the Popular Star Award and Best Actor/Actress awards, respectively.
Hosted by Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon for the second consecutive year, the ceremony was held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, on November 19th. Hyun Bin, representing the film 'Harbin,' and Son Ye-jin, from 'No Other Choice,' sat side-by-side, instantly heating up the venue with their mere presence.
The couple further surprised attendees with their 'Couple Double Win.' First, the Chongjungwon Popular Star Award recognized Park Jin-young for 'High Five,' Hyun Bin for 'Harbin,' Son Ye-jin for 'No Other Choice,' and Im Yoon-ah for 'The Devil's Arrival.'
"This is the first time a married couple has been featured together on stage like this," remarked MC Lee Je-hoon, congratulating the pair. "You look great together."
Son Ye-jin expressed her joy, stating, "I don't think I'll ever forget this. It's such an honor to receive the Popularity Award with my husband. Thank you to the organizers and fans for giving us an unforgettable memory." She playfully posed with Hyun Bin, making a 'V' sign and showcasing their natural chemistry.
Hyun Bin added, "It feels like the first time we've won an award together since our drama 'Crash Landing on You.' Standing on stage together again, holding awards, makes me so happy today. Thank you." he beamed.
The celebratory mood continued into the main awards. After winning Best Actor for 'Harbin,' Hyun Bin's acceptance speech touched many: "Ye-jin, my wife, who gives me strength just by existing, and our son, I love you and thank you." Son Ye-jin responded from her seat with a heart gesture.
When Son Ye-jin was announced as the Best Actress winner for 'No Other Choice,' Hyun Bin immediately stood up, offering a warm embrace and pat on the back, showing his unwavering support.
Meanwhile, Lee Kwang-soo and Lee Sun-bin, who are publicly dating, reunited at the Blue Dragon Awards as presenter and attendee. As Lee Kwang-soo took the stage with Kim Woo-bin to present the Best Director award, Lee Sun-bin in the audience struck a 'binoculars' pose with both hands, gazing at her boyfriend, which drew laughter. Lee Kwang-soo couldn't hide his bashful smile and kept glancing back, leaving a sweet and lasting impression.
