Lee Sung-min Clinches Best Supporting Actor Award at Blue Dragon Film Awards for 'Project Silence'

Actor Lee Sung-min has once again proven his acting prowess by winning the Best Supporting Actor award at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards for his role in the movie ‘Project Silence’.

The prestigious ceremony, held on November 19th at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, erupted in applause when Lee Sung-min's name was announced.

In ‘Project Silence’, Lee Sung-min delivered a powerful performance as Goo Bum-mo, a 20-year veteran struggling to find re-employment after being laid off from the paper industry. He realistically portrayed the struggles of an 'analog man' left behind by the times and the desperate emotions of a middle-aged family man, earning widespread critical acclaim.

Following his win, Lee Sung-min expressed his gratitude, stating, 'I believe this award is thanks to Director Park Chan-wook, who gifted me the wonderful character of Goo Bum-mo. Thank you. I am also very grateful to the actors with whom I couldn't spend much time during filming but built great friendships while promoting the movie.'

Debuting with the play ‘Lithuania’ in 1987, Lee Sung-min has built a distinguished career over 38 years, appearing in numerous hit productions across stage, screen, and television, including ‘Misaeng’, ‘Reborn Rich’, and ‘12.12: The Day’, solidifying his reputation as a 'trustworthy actor'.

He is set to continue his prolific career with the Netflix series ‘The Bequeathed’ and the upcoming JTBC drama ‘The Magic Stone’, with anticipation building for his future projects.
