'Curious Stories' Marks 200th Episode with Deep-Sea Dive for Lost Patrol Boat
SBS's 'Curious Stories You Might Have Missed' (hereafter 'Curious Stories') is set to unveil 'Respond, Patrol Boat 72', a long-term underwater exploration project meticulously prepared over six months, in celebration of its 200th episode.
The 200th episode, airing on the 20th, will delve into the sinking of 'Patrol Boat 72', a small maritime police vessel that disappeared 45 years ago while guarding fishermen in the East Sea. The boat carried 17 crew members, but since its submersion off the coast of Goseong, Gangwon Province, in January 1980, their remains have yet to be recovered. After six months of preparation, the production team has undertaken the first-ever underwater exploration project in broadcast history, descending to a depth of 108 meters to reveal the shrouded story of 'Patrol Boat 72'.
Special listeners Jang Hang-jun, Jun Hyun-moo, and Lee Yeon-hee joined the milestone episode, expressing shock and awe upon witnessing the current state of 'Patrol Boat 72', which has reappeared after 45 years.
