Actor Lee Moo-saeng shared his thoughts after watching the Netflix series 'You Killed Me' as an audience member.

In an interview held at a cafe in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 20th, Lee Moo-saeng discussed his profound impressions of the series. 'You Killed Me' depicts the story of two women entangled in unexpected events in a reality where they cannot escape without dying or killing. The series has garnered significant praise both domestically and internationally, entering the TOP 10 in 22 countries, including Korea, Brazil, the UAE, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, just three days after its release.

Lee Moo-saeng portrayed Jin So-baek, the representative of a large food ingredient company and a steadfast supporter of Eun-soo (Jeon So-nee) and Hee-soo (Lee Yoo-mi). He commanded the screen with an overwhelming presence, exuding an unapproachable aura with his unwavering expression and firm gaze. Yet, he offered comfort to Eun-soo and Hee-soo in his own way, serving as a reliable pillar and embodying the essence of a true adult. His flawless portrayal of the character proved his versatility as an actor.

Reflecting on Jin So-baek from a viewer's perspective, Lee Moo-saeng stated, "I was speechless. After watching the entire series, I felt a sense of relief, but it also highlighted ongoing issues that we must pay attention to and resolve. Since problems aren't solved 100% instantly, I felt my perspective on life and my way of viewing these characters were being re-evaluated. For about ten minutes after watching, I was just blankly staring, unable to think. I realized that the solution must begin with myself."

He added, "I was so glad, both as Jin So-baek and as a viewer, to see Eun-soo and Hee-soo smiling in the end. It was happiness to feel that warm energy."

Lee Moo-saeng emphasized, "This ultimately aligns with the message the work delivers. Rather than pinpointing who is the most at fault, the title 'You Killed Me' itself resonated deeply. It could be Jin So-baek, or it could be me, someone just watching. I felt a pang of realization. Instead of blaming anyone, I felt compelled to watch this series properly and live my life with greater awareness. It's a work that makes you think, 'I need to be careful and stay alert starting with myself.' Even though I participated, watching it as a viewer, the title 'You Killed Me' truly hit home."

Korean netizens expressed strong empathy with the series' message and Lee Moo-saeng's performance, commenting things like, "Actor Lee Moo-saeng's acting is incredibly immersive!", "'You Killed Me' made me think a lot. I've resolved to live my life better starting with myself," and "The actor cried after watching it too, how powerful must the message be?".
