MONSTA X's Hyungwon Embarks on Canadian Adventure in New Web Variety Show 'Ddorora'

MONSTA X member Hyungwon, known for his 'must-listen, must-watch' performances, is set to showcase his unique variety show skills.

His agency, Starship Entertainment, announced that Hyungwon will be a fixed cast member in the web variety show 'Ddorora', premiering today (20th) on the YouTube channel 'SBS KPOP X INKIGAYO'.

'Ddorora' follows the chaotic cross-Canada journey of singer Lee Chang-sub, MAMAMOO's Solar, and MONSTA X's Hyungwon. Transformed into 'K-pop Aurora Hunters', the trio will embark on a hilarious expedition across the vast Canadian landscape in search of the elusive aurora.

Through his agency, Hyungwon shared, "While filming 'Ddorora', I gained so many unique experiences and special memories. I am sincerely grateful to my co-stars Chang-sub hyung and Solar noona, as well as the hardworking 'Ddorora' production team and staff." He added, "We ask for your much interest and love for 'Ddorora', which will be released every Thursday."

In recently released teaser videos, Hyungwon charmed viewers with his maknae (youngest member) charm. Notably, when he pulled out his phone to say, "As an information agent, I will find its location," Solar praised him as an "early adopter," and Lee Chang-sub commented, "You're almost like a quantum computer," hinting at his position as the beloved maknae.

Short-form content has also garnered attention. Hyungwon showcased his cuteness through the 'Barabam Challenge' and, in another clip, instructed Lee Chang-sub and Solar, saying, "When I count one, two, three, you go 'Ett Kyung!'" before teaming up with Solar to playfully tease Lee Chang-sub, bringing laughter to viewers.

Following his honorable discharge from his 18-month military service in May, Hyungwon has been actively pursuing various activities. In September, he participated in MONSTA X's full group comeback with the Korean album 'THE X', and on the 14th, they expanded their reach by releasing the US digital single 'baby blue'. He has also proven his exceptional variety sense by appearing in MONSTA X's own content 'MONiONGO' and various other web shows.

Furthermore, in December, Hyungwon will participate in the '2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour', the biggest year-end festival in the US, as part of MONSTA X. As he expands his presence by balancing his main career with variety show appearances, anticipation is high for Hyungwon's performance in 'Ddorora'.
