Hyun Bin & Son Ye-jin Make History as First Couple to Win Joint Lead Acting Awards at Blue Dragon Film Awards

Actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin have achieved a groundbreaking feat in Korean cinema history by becoming the first married couple to win lead acting awards at the same ceremony.

The power couple attended the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 19th. Both were nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress for their respective roles in 'Harbin' and 'No Other Choice'.

Hyun Bin, upon receiving his award, expressed his gratitude, stating, "I want to say I love and thank my wife Ye-jin, who is a great source of strength, and our son."

Before the applause for Hyun Bin subsided, Son Ye-jin was announced as the winner of the Best Actress award, marking the first time a married couple has jointly clinched both lead acting awards in Korea.

Son Ye-jin also shared her heartfelt thanks, saying, "I thank the two men I love, my Kim Tae-pyeong and our baby Kim Woo-jin," affectionately referring to her husband and son.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin first met while working on the film 'The Negotiation' and the drama 'Crash Landing on You', eventually tying the knot in March 2022 and welcoming their son in November of the same year.
