Former speed skater Lee Sang-hwa was deeply moved to tears by a surprise anniversary event prepared by her husband, Kangnam.

In the video, the couple embarked on a dessert tour in Yamanashi, Japan, to celebrate their 7th wedding anniversary.

Upon arriving at their final cafe stop, Kangnam unveiled a pre-prepared surprise event. Initially taken aback by the sudden situation, Lee Sang-hwa soon realized it was a special celebration and her eyes welled up.

The video featured a heartfelt letter written by Kangnam himself. He reminisced about Lee Sang-hwa's journey, from dreaming of becoming a skater to becoming a national athlete and shining a light on Korea. He expressed his love, stating, 'I fell for Lee Sang-hwa's back muscles, and that's how we ended up getting married.' He also conveyed his respect and gratitude, acknowledging, 'I know your nagging is ultimately for my own good.'

Lee Sang-hwa couldn't hold back her tears throughout the letter reading. The video further enhanced the emotional impact with appearances from Lee Sang-hwa's mother, sister-in-law, brother, and nephew, who also sent their heartfelt messages through video letters.

Lee Sang-hwa, known as the 'Ice Queen' of speed skating, married singer Kangnam in 2019, receiving widespread congratulations. They are now celebrating their 7th year of marriage.
