KBS 2TV's 'Love: Track' to Premiere Dec 14, Featuring 10 Diverse Love Stories
KBS 2TV is set to captivate audiences this winter with its newly organized 2025 single-episode drama project, 'Love: Track.'
'Love: Track' is a romance anthology series that explores 10 distinct types of love stories. This project aims to carry on the legacy of KBS's 41-year tradition of single-episode dramas, adapting to contemporary changes and succeeding the 'Drama Special' series. Premiering on December 14th and concluding on December 28th, two episodes will be unveiled each Sunday at 10:50 PM and Wednesday at 9:50 PM, promising viewers a playlist of brief yet profoundly resonant love narratives.
The KBS single-episode drama series began in 1984 with 'Drama Game' and has served as a unique platform for discovering new writers, directors, and actors, while expanding the foundation of the K-drama industry. This year's 'Love: Track' upholds this tradition, concentrating the universal yet ever-changing emotion of 'love' into a 30-minute format. It aims to maximize the flexible structure of single-episode dramas by broadly covering the spectrum of love, from romance, breakups, and unrequited love to familial affection, elderly love, and narratives of non-marriage and minority groups.
The series kicks off on Sunday, December 14th, at 10:50 PM with 'Onion Soup After Work' (directed by Lee Young-seo, written by Lee Sun-hwa) and 'First Love Comes with Earphones' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo, written by Jung Hyo). This will be followed by 'Love Hotel' (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Park Min-jung) and 'On the Night the Wolf Disappeared' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo, written by Lee Sun-hwa) on Wednesday, December 17th, at 9:50 PM.
Further episodes include 'No Man to Carry My Father's Coffin' (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Yeom Bo-ra) and 'Kimchi' (directed by Lee Young-seo, written by Kang Han) on Sunday, December 21st, at 10:50 PM. On Wednesday, December 24th, at 9:50 PM, 'A Star's Love' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo, written by Lee Sa-ha) and 'Minji Minji Minji' (directed by Lee Young-seo, written by Choi Yi-kyung) will air. The season concludes on Sunday, December 28th, at 10:50 PM with 'Love Subscription Conditions' (directed by Bae Eun-hye, written by Kang Jung-in) and 'The Soundtrack That Never Existed' (directed by Gu Sung-joon, written by Yoo So-won). These 10 works, unified like a playlist through diverse emotions and narratives, will showcase independent and dense stories rarely seen in feature-length productions, brought to life through various directorial visions and characters.
The production team stated, "'Love: Track' is a collection of short films interpreting the emotion of love from different perspectives. We plan to once again demonstrate the unique power of single-episode dramas to convey deeper and clearer emotions within a short time." They expressed their hope that "the 10 love stories will remain in viewers' hearts for a long time, each with its own distinct charm."
Korean netizens are expressing excitement about KBS's return to single-episode dramas. Comments include praises like "Finally, KBS is doing its job right!", "Let's have single-episode drama seasons!", and wishes for "many new actors to appear."
