‘Sixth Sense 2’ Production Team Goes to Extreme Lengths, Creating a 'Second Branch' to Fool Chuu
The cast of ‘Sixth Sense 2’ has once again fallen victim to the production team's elaborate schemes.
In the episode aired on the 20th, tvN's ‘Sixth Sense: City Tour 2’ featured an 'Incheon Hotspot' special, visiting three intriguing locations: 'The Pig Embracing an Egg,' 'The Idol Fanatic's Monkfish,' and 'The Waterfish Full of White Charm.' However, the production team didn't stop there, showcasing an unprecedented scale by creating a 'second branch' in Seoul to deceive guest Chuu.
At 'The Pig Embracing an Egg' in Incheon, subtle clues like the absence of the typical meat smell and a name not matching the signature dish raised suspicions. Yet, the exquisite taste of the samsgyeopsal, aged with low-sodium white kimchi, convinced the members it was real. Mi-mi exclaimed, “The savory flavor is crazy. It’s dancing in my mouth.”
The second location, 'The Idol Fanatic's Monkfish,' immediately raised eyebrows with photos of Incheon-born celebrity Ji Sang-ryeol. The perfectly curated course, reminiscent of a chef's touch, further fueled their doubts. Mi-mi, recalling her experience of having her algorithm manipulated in a previous season, remained cautious.
At the final stop, 'The Waterfish Full of White Charm,' the presence of white waterfish made with dongchimi broth and a half-and-half option added to the confusion. Chuu's mention of having previously tried waterfish made with dongchimi broth elsewhere intensified the debate over whether it was pre-planned by the production team or a coincidence. While the taste was excellent, the sheer scale of the production team's potential preparation led many to believe it was genuine.
Ultimately, Ji Seok-jin chose 'The Idol Fanatic's Monkfish' as the fake, but the actual fake was 'The Waterfish Full of White Charm.' The real story involved the production team directly scouting a daughter who wanted to help her father run his seafood restaurant, and the white waterfish broth developed by the renowned Kimchi Master Park Mi-hee was indeed authentic.
However, the true shocker was yet to come. To deceive Chuu, the production team revealed they had set up a 'second branch' in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. With the help of a PD from the show 'Sisters' Direct Shipment,' they arranged for Chuu to taste the white waterfish at this second branch. Chuu was left stunned, exclaiming, “My head hurts so much.”
‘Sixth Sense 2’ continues to deliver immense enjoyment to viewers with its unpredictable plots and grand scale, airing every Thursday at 8:40 PM KST.
Netizens praised the production team's meticulous planning and Chuu's reaction, commenting, 'This is next-level deception!' and 'I can't believe they went that far just to trick Chuu.' Many are eagerly anticipating the next episode.
