On the 21st, YG Entertainment revealed details of conversations held with AKMU members Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun, shedding light on their future plans. Approximately six months ago, YG's General Producer Yang Hyun-suk visited the duo's home for a dinner, where candid discussions took place regarding their decision to either continue with YG or pursue independent endeavors.

Yang Hyun-suk reportedly encouraged AKMU to explore new environments and musical activities outside of YG, emphasizing that it would be a valuable experience. Understanding the siblings' inherent desire for new challenges, he expressed his sincere intention to support them from behind the scenes. Consequently, AKMU will conclude their exclusive contract with YG Entertainment and set out for a fresh start.
