NCT's Doyoung Expresses Anxiety About Post-Military Hiatus to Park Myung-soo
NCT member Doyoung candidly shared his concerns about potential career gaps after completing his military service during an interview with fellow entertainer Park Myung-soo.
A video uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Halmyeongsoo' on the 21st, titled "So Doyoung and I Chose This Tteokbokki After Discussion. | Seoul's Top 3 Tteokbokki Tour," featured the two.
During their visit to popular tteokbokki restaurants in Seoul, Park Myung-soo gifted Doyoung merchandise. Doyoung was delighted, exclaiming, "That's a really good phrase."
When Park Myung-soo stated his philosophy of prioritizing his own success before helping others, Doyoung agreed, remarking, "It's hard to help when you don't have the capacity," and expressed his desire to "succeed even more."
Park Myung-soo encouraged him, saying, "You're already successful and young, you can achieve even greater things." However, Doyoung admitted, "There are still people who come to my performances now. But I worry they won't come (after I return)," revealing his anxiety about a potential career hiatus.
Despite Doyoung's expressed worries about "slightly having the thought of stopping this," Park Myung-soo reassured him, "You shouldn't worry about that. The most important thing right now is to complete your military service healthily." This touched Doyoung.
Doyoung is scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier in the Army on December 8th.
Fans responded to Doyoung's honest confession with supportive messages like, "Please go and come back healthy!" and "Don't worry, we'll always cheer for you."
