Kim Eui-sung Denies Villain Role in 'Taxi Driver 3' Amidst Fan Speculation
Actor Kim Eui-sung has vehemently denied speculation that he will play a villain in the upcoming SBS drama 'Taxi Driver 3'.
In a video released on SBS's official YouTube channel on the 21st, Kim addressed the persistent rumors surrounding his character, Jang Sung-chul, the CEO of Rainbow Taxi.
"So many people are waiting for me to betray them, but I'm really not a villain. I'm not the mastermind, and I won't betray anyone," Kim stated emphatically. He expressed his frustration, saying, "It's already season 3, what more do I have to do for you to believe me? I can't even sleep because I'm so wronged."
The actor's past roles, including the treacherous Lee Wan-ik in 'Mr. Sunshine' and his memorable performances in 'Train to Busan' and 'The Truth Beneath,' have contributed to the audience's lingering suspicion.
'Taxi Driver 3' premiered with a strong viewership rating of 11.1%. The drama airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM KST on SBS.
Upon seeing Kim's clarification video, Korean netizens commented, "The way he says it makes him seem even more suspicious," and "The magic of Kim Eui-sung saying 'it's not true' actually means it is." Many fans remain unconvinced, continuing to express their suspicions online.
