Ok Joo-hyun's Solo Concert 'OK-RIGINAL' Canceled After 7 Years, Artist Vows to Re-Prepare for Perfect Stage

A highly anticipated solo concert by singer and musical actress Ok Joo-hyun, scheduled for December, has been canceled. This marks the first solo concert for the artist in seven years.

Ok Joo-hyun announced the cancellation via her personal social media on the 22nd, sharing a lengthy message with her fans.

The production company explained the decision, stating, "This concert, which the artist had always dreamed of and wished to realize someday, was meticulously prepared with complex staging and directorial elements that the artist had envisioned, aiming for an exceptionally high level of performance."

However, they added, "Due to unforeseen internal factors that arose during the preparation process, we determined that it would be difficult to achieve the targeted stage quality in the current state. As producers, we felt we could not provide the artist with the perfect stage she deserves. After extensive discussions with the artist, we have decided to re-prepare the concert."

Ok Joo-hyun expressed her deep regret, saying, "The concert planned for December has unfortunately been postponed. This concert held significant meaning for me, as much as it did for my fans, and I was preparing it with immense excitement, looking forward to our time together after a long hiatus."

She further elaborated on her personal feelings: "As preparations progressed, while the scale of the concert grew, I personally felt certain directorial aspects were not meeting my standards. The 'ambition and satisfaction' in the direction needed to be an unforgettable fantasy, a promise, and a memory for those who attend. Although I was deeply disappointed and heavy-hearted, considering the stage I promised you, after long consultations with the production company, we concluded that adjustments to the schedule and venue selection were necessary."

"I am truly sorry to deliver this news to the fans who have waited so long and to everyone who was looking forward to this performance," she continued. "While this thought weighs heavily on me, my desire to present the promised stage in its best possible form remains unchanged.
