Hong Kong Actor Edan Lui Shares His Experience on 'Taxi Driver 3': 'Dream Come True to Work with Lee Je-hoon, a K-Drama Fan'
Hong Kong actor Edan Lui has opened up about his feelings on appearing in SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama ‘Taxi Driver 3’ and his collaboration with actor Lee Je-hoon.
Through Viu, the largest pan-Asian OTT platform where ‘Taxi Driver 3’ is currently airing, Edan Lui stated, “I’ve always enjoyed K-dramas, and being a fan of ‘Taxi Driver’ specifically, it felt like a dream come true to be a part of it.”
He added, “I’ve admired actor Lee Je-hoon for a long time, so the fact that I got to work with such a brilliant senior actor made the filming even more anticipated.”
Lui also expressed his deep impression of the professional system of the Korean production crew. He remarked, “Not only during script readings, but even on the day of filming, everything from the storyboards to lighting setups was incredibly detailed and systematic,” adding, “I was surprised by how much faster and more precise the set preparations were than I had expected.”
Meanwhile, Edan Lui made a strong impression as an Interpol agent who commissions a case to Kim Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon) in the second episode of ‘Taxi Driver 3,’ which aired on the 22nd. For the Hong Kong boy group MIRROR member, who is also active as an actor, this project marks his successful debut in a Korean drama.
Korean netizens are reacting with excitement, commenting things like 'Wow, Edan Lui was in Taxi Driver 3? That's amazing!', 'It's incredible that he got to act with Lee Je-hoon. I'm looking forward to their chemistry,' and 'It's great that he likes Korean dramas! We hope to see more great work from him.'
