tvN's weekend drama 'King the Land' has captivated viewers with its unpredictable plot twists. In the 14th episode, aired on the 23rd, Kang Tae-poong (Lee Jun-ho) and Oh Mi-sun (Kim Min-ha) finally succeeded in returning to the Euljiro office of Typhoon Trading. However, their relief was short-lived as a series of unexpected events unfolded, maintaining the suspense until the very end.

The episode delved into the truth behind a promissory note from nine years prior. Facing bankruptcy, CEO Pyo Bak-ho (Kim Sang-ho) had signed a note, transferring 30% of his company's shares to Kang Jin-young (Sung Dong-il) in exchange for 40 million won. This note later became Kang Tae-poong's ultimate card to save Typhoon Trading from crisis. When Pyo Hyun-joon's (Mu Jin-sung) arson attempt jeopardized a crucial delivery, Tae-poong proposed a deal: exchanging the promissory note for 3 million surgical gloves Pyo Sang-sun had purchased in bulk. The deal was struck with the condition that Tae-poong would step down as CEO if he couldn't deliver the note by the promised date. Ultimately, Tae-poong successfully completed the supply contract with the Public Procurement Service.

Despite narrowly escaping bankruptcy, Typhoon Trading faced another storm. The revelation of Cha Seon-taek's (Kim Jae-hwa) past fraudulent activities shocked the employees. The arson incident, which endangered Mi-sun's life due to information about goods arrival and warehouse location leaked to Hyun-joon, shattered the trust built over 26 years, leaving a profound sense of disappointment. Wracked with guilt, Seon-taek sold her house to return the money received from Pyo Bak-ho and was subsequently fired from her juicing company. Her plight, forced to make wrong choices under extreme duress with her son also under threat, left a bitter taste.

Meanwhile, Tae-poong was in a race against time to secure the promissory note to keep his CEO position. He infiltrated the empty Euljiro office late at night but couldn't find it. He was eventually caught by a security guard on patrol and taken to the police station, facing an awkward situation. Exhausted by his sole focus on the note, Mi-sun suggested they take a break and proposed a beach vacation. The two, who had been relentlessly working to save the company, enjoyed a normal vacation like others, spending a romantic time by the sea.

In the meantime, Hyun-joon's madness escalated. His arson attempt to bring down Tae-poong was thwarted, and the fact that the surgical gloves ended up with Tae-poong deeply wounded his twisted pride. Bursting into his father's office late at night, he exploded with inferiority and rage, crying out, "I just wanted to be acknowledged, just once." However, Pyo Bak-ho chastised his son, calling him a "loser." Losing all reason, Hyun-joon struck his father on the head and then, in an act of patricide, confined the still-breathing Pyo Bak-ho in a container.

The payment deadline promised to Pyo Bak-ho arrived. Although the promissory note was never found, Tae-poong reasoned that the guarantee letter itself acknowledged its existence and decided to confront Pyo Sang-sun directly. However, he couldn't reach Pyo Sang-sun, and Hyun-joon had taken over the CEO's office. Tae-poong had no choice but to leave, taking only proof that he had visited Pyo Sang-sun on the agreed-upon date.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Trading regained its vitality after a long time. With the successful delivery of surgical gloves providing much-needed breathing room, they decided to return to their original office in Euljiro. Tae-poong, Mi-sun, along with Go Ma-jin (Lee Chang-hoon), Gu Myung-gwan (Kim Song-il), and Bae Song-joong (Lee Sang-jin), celebrated their new beginning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and commemorative photos. Tae-poong's decision to work in the same space as everyone else, leaving the CEO's office vacant, further solidified Typhoon Trading's 'family-like company' atmosphere.

However, the peace was short-lived. Song-joong, who had stepped out briefly to take a phone call, rushed back into the office in tears, grabbing Tae-poong's hand and crying out, "My dad is dying. Please save my dad." His face was a mixture of terror and despair. Viewers' attention is now focused on the final episodes of 'King the Land,' with only two episodes left, to find out what exactly happened to Song-joong's father.

Episodes 15 and 16 of 'King the Land' will air on tvN on Saturday, the 29th, and Sunday, the 30th, respectively, at 9:10 PM KST.

Following the broadcast, Korean netizens flooded online communities with comments such as 'As expected from King the Land, the tension lasts till the end,' 'Lee Jun-ho's acting is insane... how can I wait until next week,' and 'Actor Lee Sang-jin's performance was chilling. I watched it in tears.' Praises for Lee Sang-jin's desperate acting were particularly prominent.
