Kim Chang-hoon, a multifaceted artist known as a member of Sanullim, composer, painter, and a self-proclaimed 'person who sings poems,' has successfully concluded his first solo concert following the completion of his ambitious '1000 Songs of Poetry' project.

The concert, titled 'Surely, It Will Be a Welcome,' held on November 15th at Geumseong Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, was a complete sell-out, with the atmosphere resonating more with 'welcome' than mere commemoration.

On stage, Kim Chang-hoon performed 25 pieces, including 23 original poem-songs and two Sanullim classics, 'Monologue' and 'Recollection.' The lyrics of 25 different poets were projected onto a large screen, breathing new life into them through Kim Chang-hoon's voice.

Kim Deok-joon from the humanistic forum 'Genius Table' praised the performance, stating, "He recited the lyrics of 25 poems flawlessly, without a single prompt. It evokes awe to think about the long hours and dedication he poured into conversing with the poems to internalize such a vast world of language."

This concert marked the culmination of his four-year dedication to the '1000 Songs of Poetry' project, adhering to the principle of 'one poet, one song.' Kim Chang-hoon described poetry as 'jewels in written form,' emphasizing how this endeavor has enriched his artistic assets.

His brother, Kim Chang-wan, made a surprise appearance, performing a new song and the Sanullim hit 'Mother and Mackerel,' adding a layer of poignant nostalgia to the evening.

Looking ahead, Kim Chang-hoon plans to embark on a national tour, performing his poem-songs at literary museums across the country, aiming to share the beauty of poetry and music beyond the pages of books.

Netizens expressed their excitement, with comments like 'As expected, Kim Chang-hoon is always a reliable listen,' 'The meeting of poetry and music, I'm already looking forward to it,' and 'The sibling stage must have brought tears.' Many cheered him on for his new artistic venture.
