Han Ji-hyun to Star in KBS Anthology Drama 'First Love Earphones', Portraying Young Love

Actress Han Ji-hyun is set to return with a poignant tale of first love in the upcoming KBS 2TV one-act play project, 'Love: Track'.

Her agency, Choo-seung Entertainment, announced on the 24th that Han Ji-hyun has been cast as the protagonist, Han Young-seo, in the episode titled 'First Love Earphones' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo, written by Jung Hyo). This drama is part of the 'Love: Track' anthology series, which will feature ten distinct love stories airing on KBS 2TV in 2025.

Set in 2010, 'First Love Earphones' follows Han Young-seo (played by Han Ji-hyun), a top-ranked student in her third year of high school. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Ki Hyun-ha (played by Ong Seong-wu), a character known for his rebellious streak. The story will explore Han Young-seo's journey as she confronts her dreams and the complexities of love.

Internally, Han Young-seo harbors a deep desire for freedom and a rebellious spirit against societal norms, despite her outwardly perfect image as a brilliant student. Han Ji-hyun is expected to portray a wide range of ages, from her high school days to her later years as a lyricist, effectively capturing the fresh and nostalgic emotions of first love.

Following her impactful role as PD Kim Soo-jin in Director Yeon Sang-ho's film 'The Beating Heart' and her upcoming appearance in the film 'Sisterhood,' Han Ji-hyun is also slated to star as fashion designer Song Ha-young in the new MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'The Season of You.' Her addition to 'First Love Earphones' marks a prolific period in her career, with numerous diverse roles across film and television.

'First Love Earphones' will be broadcast on December 14th, 2025, at 10:50 PM KST, following the conclusion of 'Onion Soup After Work' on KBS 2TV.
