SHINee's Minho Reflects on His Final Performance in 'Waiting for Godot to Wait', Says 'I Felt I Wasn't on the Wrong Path'
Choi Min-ho, also known as Minho, a member of the idol group SHINee and an actor, has shared his heartfelt reflections on his recently concluded stage play, 'Waiting for Godot to Wait'.
In the 117th episode of 'Salon de Teo' on the YouTube channel 'Teo', released on the 2nd, Minho sat down with MC Jang Do-yeon for a candid conversation. Notably, the recording coincided with the play's final performance, drawing significant attention.
Minho expressed his deep affection for the play, which ran for two months from September 16th to October 16th. "Theater was a stage I dreamed of since I was young," he shared. "After a long career, I often find myself falling into a rut and contemplating how to grow. Theater came to me during such times. It was a valuable period that expanded my capacity as an actor."
He highlighted the praise from senior actors as the most rewarding aspect of his theatrical experience. Receiving words like 'You're doing well, and it's great that you're staying in this field' filled him with pride. The play held particular significance as it was a production he shared with the late actor Lee Soon-jae. Lee Soon-jae had performed his final stage in this play, and Minho paid tribute on his personal social media, posting a photo with him and stating, "I truly felt and learned so much by being able to be with you, Teacher. I will not forget the many things you taught me and will cherish them always. Thank you sincerely, Teacher."
The play gained further meaning with the addition of veteran actor Park Geun-hyung, a close friend of Lee Soon-jae, and Minho continued to demonstrate his passion for acting by returning to the stage. "Of course, not everything I'm doing now is perfect, but I felt I wasn't going down the wrong path," he remarked, reaffirming his steadfast commitment to acting.
